A bit about Jac
Let’s delve a little deeper into the person behind the brand…
Born and raised in Albany, Western Australia, I started working in the construction industry at the age of 16 when I completed a part time traineeship through high school, for Master Builders Association. I have always been creative and would offer to design the invitations for the annual awards, brochures and newsletters, on top of my actual job role.
Fast forward a couple of years and I was given the opportunity to work at a Smart Home Integration company in Perth which offered me even more creativity at work and sparked my love for technology!
At the age of 18, I met a ridiculously good looking Irish guy (who is now my fiancé and the father of our son Oliver). In 2013 we moved to Brisbane to pursue his career in Civil Construction where I was lucky enough to land an incredible job opportunity at Electronic Living (the most prestigious Smart Home Integration company in the country). I worked in almost every single department in the company until I finished my degree at Design College Australia for Visual Communications & Photography, which allowed me to become their full time Marketing Manager.
I genuinely LOVED going to work. Every day was exciting, fun and different. We worked with & collaborated with the best of the best in the industry, in homes that most would only ever dream of stepping foot in. I had free reign on creativity to come up with the craziest campaign ideas and my Director was almost always on board…
But Jac, why did you leave?
I kind of didn’t! I still take care of Electronic Living’s marketing remotely (made possible thanks for Covid)! Leaving Queensland (and Electronic Living) was one of the hardest and easiest decisions I’ve ever had to make in my life. Priorities change when babies are involved, and raising Oliver without family around (during a Pandemic) just wasn’t an option. So we sold our house, packed our life into a 20ft shipping container and off we went. No jobs lined up for either of us, a 5 month old in tow, praying that it would work out, and my goodness it worked out better than we could have ever expected! I will forever be grateful to my second family at Electronic Living for the opportunity of growth, love and support over the years!
So, what now?
Well, Studio Jac & Co is born and thriving! In between working on client projects (big and small), managing several businesses social media accounts, I’m working on expanding our team to keep up with the load and creating even more digital resources to provide to my audience to assist businesses in elevating their online presence and succeed in reaching their goals!
